Diorama of Kiev circa 1100, it is in the State Historical Museum in Kiev. The podol (market) area is on lower left side below the fortress city and next to the Dniper river. The inner citadel is at the left end of the fortified town. The Great Gate is barely visible in the wall between the inner town and outer town.
