This map depicts the main events of the siege. The Tsar's druzhina is at lower left - The left and right arm, great, lead and guard polki are as shown - Note the abortive effort to relieve the siege mounted by Yapancha that was driven off by Gorbati-Schuiskii. The Cheremish also attempted to relieve the siege, coming down the Volga valley from their homeland.
