ROMAN SVYATOSLAVICH (? - 1079)

He was the son of Svyatoslav II Yaroslavich, prince of Kyiv by Oda. He was prince of Tmutorokan. His brother, Oleg, fled Chernigiv and found refuge with him. The family members are shown on this chart. In 1079 Roman led a Polovtsi detachment against Chernigiv in support of his brother. Roman was killed by the Polovtsi after the battle.
