YAROSLAV VLADIMIROVICH OSMOMYSL (1130's - 1187)

He was the son of Vladimir (Vladimirko) Vladimirovich (Volodaryevich) prince of Galich. He married around 1150 with Olga, daughter of Yuri Vladimirovich Dolgoruki, prince of Suzdal. His nickname "Osmomysl' means perhaps that he spoke 8 languages or that he was as smart as eight normal men. His son, Vladimir, was prince of Galich and he had a daughter and a son, Oleg, by a mistress named Anastasia. When he took that mistress, Olga left him causing political turmoil in Galicia. Oleg also was prince of Galich. The family is shown on this chart.
