He was a son of Yurii II Vsyevolodovich, grand prince of Vladimir and Agraf'ia Vsyevolodovna, princess of Chernigiv. He was crown prince of Vladimir. He died during the Mongol invasion of 1238 without heirs. The family is shown on this chart.
