Andrei was a youngest (8th) son of
Vladimir II Vsyevolodich Monomakh. He ruled
Vladimir in Volynia (1118-1120) and then
Periaslavl (1134-1136). In the family warfare he
fought on the side of his older brothers, Mstislav
Vladimirovich and Yaropolk II Vladimirovich
(Monomashchi), against the Ol'govichi. He married about in 1117 the niece of
the Polovtsi Khan Tugor. His sons were Yaropolk
Andreyevich, prince of Vladimir in Volynia; and Vladimir, prince of Dorogobuzh. His daughter was the first wife of
David Ol'govich, prince of Chernigiv. They are shown
