Orel was an excellent Journal published by the All-Union Association "Rehabilitization of Invalids'. In St. Petersburg in 1992 but succeded in only producing 3 issues. In cooperation with the Russian publishers, "Xenophon' translalted and printed this one issue reporduced here. The Chief Editor of the Russian edtion was S. V. Gorunov and of the American edition, John Sloan

Battle of Lesnaya, Sept. 29, 1709 - Print by N. Lermessen after a drawing by P.d. Martin Jr. It is in the Suvorov Military Museum. This battle was critical to that at Poltava because here the Russian Army defeated General Lewenhaupt's Swedish supply column on its way to reinforce King Charles XII at Poltava.
