BORODINO BATTLE

Note the gold ball on top of the monument at the Rayevski bastion on the Borodino batttlefield and the spectator stands around it. Compare this will the photo of the monument. The Russians don't mind conducting the reenactment each year right on the original battlefield, not on some collective farm in the vicinity.
