PETERHOF PALACE

The cascade and fountains in front of the facade of the Peterhof palace. All this was ruined by the Germans who occupied the area during the siege of Leningrad. It is being restored at enormous cost. This photo was taken during visit in 1964 when restoration was only beginning.
