This older photo shows the monastery from outside the eastern wall. The main gate is on the left with the Church of St John the Precursor over the rear part of it. The blue domes with stars and the larger central golden dome are on the Uspenski Cathedral built by Ivan IV in 1559. Behind it is the belfry.
