overcoats) From left, Quartermaster General, (black mohair stripes on sleeve
for all grades of general, but insignia above stripe is for QM and there is one
star below that) Lieutenant General (dress or undress coat - 3 stars on
sleeve), Adjutant General (shield insignia and two stars on sleeve) , Brigadier
General (one star on sleeve, note hood and that there are three different
authorized hats), Officer of Cavalry (dress cape lined in silk with branch
color (yellow for cavalry) does not show rank)
