ALEXANDER CAMPAIGN IN INDIA

The map shows Alexander's campaign routes from northern Iran south into southern Afghanistan, then north east past Kabul and across the Kharnak Pass into central asia - Uzbeckistan - then back south-east through the Kyber Pass and adjacent montains into Pakistan. Then he moved down the Indus to the Indian Ocean and back west across the desert of southern Iran with part of his army while the main body returned through southern Afghanistan.
