Bastion 1 was located on the crest of the ridge overlooking the point where Carenage inlet meets the main harbor from the south-west. Now it is near ul. Khryleva. The British called this "Battery of the Point". From this point one has uninterrupted view north. Note the white pyramid on the center horizon. That is in the large cemetary
