CHINA TOUR - 2007 - DAY ONE

On Tuesday, May 8 we drive to Dulles Airport in afternoon for 2 PM departure on United direct flight to Beijing. We meet Millers in the airport and speak with several of the many Chinese going on the flight. The flight is excellent - full but not overcrowded and the seat space is adequate. They show movies 4 times during the14 hour flight. The flight path was the great circle passing over Alaska and the Bering Strait - photos out the window reveal some patches of water amongst the ice.
