(that would be Ram Singh) - The Darkot is north-east of Mastuj, about central to the Wakhan corridor into which it leads from Pakistan. From it going south the path leads directly to Yasin. Stein was determined to see this pass as it was used by the famous Chinese general who invaded Gilgit.
