Detail of map 32 in Innermostasia - shows the south east corner - the caravan route along the southern edge of the Lop nor salt flat through Achchik-bulak and Kum-kudak with Stein's and Lal Singh's survey routes exiting from the salt sea. Being very experienced surveyors as well as caravan leaders, they had no difficulty meeting after several weeks of travel across uncharted terrain exactly where they planned.
