Innermostasia 159 -Grave pits on top of Mesa L.C., after clearing, Stein found this mesa with prehistoric graves and ruin while searching for the Chinese caravan route east from Lou-lan to Tun-huang. He recognized that in some graves the occupants were IndoEuropean and left the contents intact. In very recent years these graves have caused quite a sensation and the mummies have been moved to local museums.
